Happy end of June! I am so hungry! I'm excited to head home for a bit this weekend and then for my dearest Brad to come visit!
I'm gonna stay up and watch Orange is the New Black or YouTube or something, and talk to cool people on TeamSpeak, and then go do lotsa chores tomorrow! Gotta buy my mom a birthday gift too!

June 29th
I really can't believe June is nearly over. This month went by really quickly! And yet it feels like I did my overnight shifts ages ago, and that was this month! Time is a strange thing.

June 28th
It is hot in this apartment. And I just got home from a weird day at work, and now I've got to pack up some things to send off for swaps, and then try to sleep, even though I'm not particularly tired. I have to get up extra early to go to the post office before work, so I need to get to sleep soon, but I'd rather...not. Sigh! Oh well.

June 27th
Well, I had a horrible headache and horrible dreams. That was a fun start to my day. Then the first two hours of work I also felt like I was going to be sick. Also fun! Last night was actually quite good though...around 3:30 AM when I couldn't sleep, I went outside with my iPhone and listened to the soundtrack to Ori and the Blind Forest. I swung on the swing set and then did some relaxing stretches. It was really pleasant and freeing. Just...peaceful. Then I came back inside and decided to perfume-up and go to bed, but my perfume gave my a wicked headache that never really went away, and I just felt unwell. At least the outside time was fun! If it wasn't storming and I wasn't super tired from getting almost no good sleep, I might do it again. But alas, I am just tired and hungry and ready for sleep.

June 26th
I feel a bit off this evening. Lethargic, anxious, agitated...just off. I feel like I have a lot of nervous energy and it's probably because I was super tired today after not sleeping last night, so I didn't do a whole lot of anything. I work (at least) the next five days in a row though, so I need to get my sleeping schedule sorted back out.
I really wanted to post my perfume reviews tonight but I feel like my brain is super foggy and I can't articulate anything right. My mind is all over the place and yet slow at the same time. Having anxiety and depression acting up at the same time is wild, you guys.
On a happier note, happy half-birthday to my wonderful little sister! I sure like that kid.

Hooray! I have tomorrow off! And then six days of work in a row! But then my birthday, and a visit from Brad! Yay!
I wore two perfumes today that are worthy of a review, so I will do that tomorrow when I have a little more time!

June 24th
Do you ever realize you're super busy for the next week and a half and also have a lot of cleaning to do in that time? Me too! I really need to get some cleaning done around here before Brad comes but I work like six days in a row coming up and I'm a tiny bit stressed! On the plus side, I bought myself tickets to go see Brad in August! Whee! My dad and sister and going to California the weekend after my birthday and I can't go, and I'm super jealous. I really want to travel. I have some serious wanderlust going on up in here! And while visiting Brad is going to be totally amazing, the American midwest isn't like...my top destination spot for super exciting places to visit. Or, to phrase it this way- I'm going to see Brad because Brad is there, not because I've always dreamed of going to the city in which he lives. I'm obviously still super excited to go.
So this has been stuck in my head all day and I'm not complaining.

June 22nd
Good evening darlings! My L'Artisan Tea for Two arrived in the mail today and I'm so excited! It's been discontinued for awhile now and it's super hard to find, and usually goes for about $200 online. I got it in an eBay auction for $65 and I'm totally thrilled. It's not 100% full but it's damn close and was an amazing deal, so I'm super pumped. I wore it today and my god, it's just so cozy! I napped so well!
I'm so excited for my birthday! And for Brad to come visit! And to Skype with Lexa soon! Whee! Yay!

June 21st
Well this weekend was a stressful work weekend. I'm unwinding with HuniePop now. I may watch some Orange is the New Black later. And of course I talked to Brad, which always makes me happy, and with my other friends as well! Internet friends are nice. I accidentally napped through my Skype date with Lexa though and I feel like the worst friend. Lexa, if you're reading this, I'm sorry! We can Skype tomorrow or Tuesday! I love you!

Hello friends! I've got work tomorrow, and I got all of my grocery shopping done today...so I'm playing HuniePop. I want this to be the first game where I get all of the Steam achievements! Then I have to finish getting the Hatoful Boyfriend ones. I don't know why I never finished getting those. I love that game. God bless ridiculous dating games, am I right?

HuniePop and TeamSpeak with friends! And then sleep! And probably some more Orange is the New Black first.
Happy Thursday everyone!

June 17th
I need to watch Orange is the New Black! I know the new season is out and I don't want to get spoiled, but I'm stuck on YouTube watching videos of people's perfume collections. I really want to do a perfume collection video! Would anyone be interested in watching that? This has turned into a perfume blog lately and I need to get back into the habit of blogging about, you know, non-fragrance things. But I've gotten so into perfume in the past few years, especially in the past year and even more so in the past few months.
Is there anything you fine people want to hear more about?

Who's ready to try my blind-bought fragrance? Me! Yay, Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir! I've heard good things. It's not really a "summer" scent, but when has that ever stopped me? There are some other Jo Malone scents that I'd rather get my hands on, but this one was an absolute bargain and one that I've wanted to try, so I'm all for it. I need to stop my a Jo Malone counter again though, I liked so many of the scents when I tried them out in Ireland! Wood Sage and Sea Salt is still the best, though.
Main notes: Cloves, pomegranate, patchouli, pink pepper, raspberry, and cedar.

I haven't had any more luck with the perfume samples I got. I tried my two Serge Lutens samples and was wholly unimpressed. It's all right though, I own two beautiful Serge Lutens already! I did completely break my no-buy already though because I found out you can buy .5oz bottles of Musc Nomade for $20. So...that happened. Oh well.
I'm going into work for some training stuff tomorrow and will be there for probably an hour, and then I'm headed down to see the family! I've got a couple of days off after tomorrow too, which is exciting! I'm not sure what I'm going to do just yet, but hopefully it'll be pleasant outside and I can go for a walk, maybe go visit some kitties at the animal shelter, and hit up some thrift stores. We shall see!

June 14th
Home, home at last! Working alone went pretty well. Some guy called me sunshine. To be fair, I'm super bubbly at work. Even when I'm all alone and it's slow as balls. (Are balls slow?)
Last night I tried out a new scent, Musc Nomade by Annick Goutal which I ended up really enjoying! I'm not sure that I'm committed to it enough to buy a full bottle (it only comes in 100ml bottles and they're $180, which is a good price for a 100ml niche, but it's a lot of perfume and a lot of money), but it is really lovely. It's very soft and poetic, musky, warm, and gentle. It's also the first Annick Goutal I've enjoyed, so that's exciting!

June 13th
I am so glad I don't work a morning shift tomorrow. I need to sleep in. I didn't start getting good sleep until like, half an hour before my alarm went off this morning, and let me tell you, it was good sleep. Super cozy, good dreams, I was totally chill. So I hit snooze way too many times, oh well. I was sleeping so damn well though.
I'm going to eat some dessert and sleep, I think. I managed to not take a nap after work, but that means I'm hella tired now. Work was crazy today. It was super slow for the first half and then majorly busy the second half.
I got my LuckyScent samples! I don't know which one to wear tonight! I also reaffirmed for myself that blind buying is dangerous because none of these smell how I imagined they would. This is why I don't blind buy nearly as much anymore. I recently blind bought a Jo Malone scent since it's easy to resell/swap Jo Malone, but anything more expensive that $35 is basically a no-go at this point. At least I have a lot of new things to try! I didn't fall in love with any of them just smelling them straight out of the bottle, but that doesn't always happen. I'm just going to close my eyes and pick one, I think, and hope it suits me!
...I'm still too afraid to try Traversée du Bosphore from L'Artisan. It's apples, sugar and leather. It just seems so bizarre. I'll try it soon, when I'm not trying to sleep!

June 12th
Today was one hell of a slow work day. I was so tired all day long, it was ridiculous. I went to bed at like 10:30 last night, but I woke up at 3:45 and couldn't get back to sleep, so I was just awake until my alarm went off. Sigh. Hopefully tonight I'll get some more solid rest. I'll be wearing L'Orpheline!
So I placed an order with Gerard Cosmetics over a week ago and the FedEx tracking says it was delivered. It has not been delivered. The day prior to delivery, it says there was an error and the package was rerouted, but the following day it lists my address and says delivered. If I don't get the package tomorrow, I'm going to contact them, because this is weird and ridiculous.
Speaking of weird and ridiculous, I sent an email to the property management for my apartment building about the recent repairs and how absolutely unprofessional and disgusting the workers were, and how they were openly rude and dishonest to me about the process of fixing my ceiling. I haven't heard anything back. Usually the property owners have been good about responding to me about things, so I don't know what's going on. I'm going to contact them tomorrow as well, because I think I deserve something for all the trouble I went through with these repairs.

June 11th
Yay, I have two new perfumes! I am in love! I've reviewed both of them on here, but in case I haven't mentioned yet what I bought, I got Fou D'Absinthe and L'Orpheline. I love them both so much! I also did my first blind buy in awhile, but it's not here yet. That's Pomegranate Noir from Jo Malone, which I'm excited about. And if I don't like it, it has great resale/swap value.
I also bought way too many samples from LuckyScent. Oops. I'm imposing a no-buy on myself which is very hard. I'd make an exception if I found Tea For Two on the cheap, but otherwise my wallet is sealed! Not sure for how long yet, we'll see. A couple of pay checks, anyway.

So, I ended up wearing MAC's Turquatic last night, and then Daisy today. Not sure what I'll be testing tonight. But I do know one thing...Business Fish.

June 9th
My stupid sleep schedule is still not fixed, and I'm frustrated. I have to be up in just over seven hours, but I'm not tired at all. I'm going to listen to some Game of Owns and try to get some sleep, but I have a feeling tomorrow might be a sleepy day at work. At least it'll help get my sleep schedule back on track. I also needed to go to the grocery store today but...I didn't. I have to buy kitty food! And Capri Sun!
I was going to wear 5 O'Clock Au Gingembre tonight since I wore Tea for Two yesterday and I want to compare them, but it's super hot and 5 O'Clock is warm and heavy already, so this is definitely not the weather for it. I really ought to be testing out my multitude of samples, but I just want to wear something I know I like. Maybe Pure Turquoise? I don't think I've done a review of that here yet. It's a really unique smell! It's by Ralph Lauren and it's marketed to women, but I think it's quite unisex. Very green. It's got cactus flower, lily-of-the-valley, ivy, and birch in it. And it smells much better when it's warm out. It's a little too sharp for winter weather. I got it in a swap - blindly - and it's really interesting. I can totally see my mom wearing it, too. She loves Ralph Lauren, and cacti, and turquoise...it's just right up her alley.

June 8th
I accidentally stayed up all night last night. That overnight shift sure messed me up. Plus it got me back into HuniePop, which I can play for hours (and did last night). I also watched the latest Game of Thrones episode, which was all over the place. Two of the storylines are pretty far gone from the books at this point, but the ending scene was actually pretty good. Good music, epic moment, and I even got a little teary-eyed! For the first time all season! Now the finale just needs to do Cersei's part justice and hopefully bring in LS and I can call it a day. I don't think I'll be watching any more of the show until the next book comes out though, since the show has gotten way ahead of the books in some parts, and not in a good way.
Perfume of the day is once again Fou d'Absinthe - at least, that's what I put on this morning before falling asleep. I'll trying something new tonight! (Or retest Tea for Two.) But I must say, I really do love Fou d'Absinthe. I maaay even buy it at some point. It may be marketed as a men's scent, but it smells really damn good on me.

Hooray, no more audit until August! Whee! Tonight was totally wild. And now I'm super excited to start wearing perfume again too, since my nose is back to normal!
Today I'm sampling Piment Brulant from L'Artisan Parfumeur.
Notes include chili peppers, chocolate, poppy, and cloves.
It's one hell of an interesting scent. It reminds me of a less horrible version of Un Jardin Sur Le Nil from Hermes. Vegetable garden-y and sort of fresh-aquatic and very...not what I was expecting. I was hoping for spicy chocolate. I did not get that at all. So, this probably isn't a keeper...but I'm glad I got to try it! L'Artisan sent it with my Bois Farine sample. Thank you, L'Artisan!

Man, getting good sleep after several days of not getting sleep is a great feeling. Sure, I didn't fall asleep until 5-something AM, but I slept pretty soundly after that. Thank goodness! I bought a couple of Naked Juice smoothies and some other healthy foods and now I'm ready to get back on track! Just in time for overnight audit! And I'm ready to test my new perfumes, dammit! I feel so naked without perfume, and so bad that I haven't had the chance to try all of my new samples!

My sniffles are mostly gone, but I've got one hell of a cough. I've been drinking lots of tea and watching SourceFed. That's about what my day has been like. Now I'm talking to that boy I like. Hi Brad!

June 2nd
Good evening, loves! I'm still dealing with this cold, so apologies for a short entry. I'm just trying to rest up and drink lots of water and such. I took a nice bath earlier, I think that helped. I hope you're all keeping well!

June 1st
Happy June! I don't like to usher in a new month on a bad note, but I still have this damned cold or whatever it is. My throat is feeling better than last night, but my nose has been a faucet all day. My ears also feel really full, and my skin hurts. My body just sort of hurts in general.
My dinner - soup - didn't really fill me up and I'm just waking up from a nap, so I need food. I'm also going to watch Game of Thrones, and then maybe just hang out on YouTube for a bit. I'm not really sleepy, but my body feels tired. I have the next two days off from work though, which will be good. Then it's an audit refresher and then actual audit! So I definitely need to be well by then!
No perfume today because I still can't smell anything!
