March 31st

Good evening, my friends! I just went to Target to get ice cream. Seriously. All the way there just to get ice cream. (But it's Target, so obviously I bought more than just ice cream. You can't just buy one thing at Target.) I had a dream about grocery shopping last night and I bought some Ben and Jerry's in my dream. It was a flavor called Simon and Garfunkel and it was half chocolate ice cream with marshmallow swirls and half vanilla ice cream with caramel swirls. No idea why that flavor/name combo happened but it did. So I decided to buy some Phish Food since that's a similar flavor to what I dreamed about. I also bought bread.

Perfume of the Day: PHI: Une Rose de Kandahar by Tauer Perfumes
Notes include rose, tobacco, apricot, patchouli, almond, vetiver, cinnamon, ambergris and geranium.

I was so eager to try another Tauer perfume after falling in love with Lonestar Memories, and I have to say, while I don't love this one as much as LM, it's really good. It's not what I was expecting - the rose is hardly noticeable on me. However, it's a very sweet and sultry smell, very resinous...but hardly floral! The tobacco note is a little intense and is almost a bit much since it's combined with quite a few heavy, sweet notes, but it's certainly not unwearable. It's blended quite well. It's not my typical scent, but I'm looking forward to wearing it again to see what else I can make of it. In the vial it does smell quite rosy and floral/fresh, so perhaps on a different day, with different weather, the floral notes will come out to play. I'm definitely intrigued by this and I'm so far still liking Tauer's creations, so hopefully I can get my hands on some more of his scents.
