Well, I didn't do too terribly much today, but I have a lot to do tomorrow! I did wash my dishes and I took a super long shower/bath which was nice. So everything is clean around here! Sort of.
Perfume of the Day: A La Rose by Maison Francis Kurkdjian
Notes include rose, cedar, orange, bergamot, violet and lemon.
A gorgeous bottle, and elusive fragrance. This is a limited release for Japan only, and I paid more than I ever thought I would for an 8ml decant, let's just say that. The descriptions of this were lovely though, and I'm still on the hunt for a good rose perfume, but I'm afraid this one isn't it. While it is blended nicely, it's just a soapy rose on me. It smells much less expensive than its price tag, and eve still it's not my cup of tea. So I'll be using this for a swap at some point, I just have to find someone who wants it. Hopefully someone will, since it's quite hard to find in the States! But for me, it's just a soapy rose, not much else. The drydown was a pleasant, simple floral, but not worth $250 or so for a 50ml bottle, that's for sure. (I only have a small decant, I don't blind buy bottles for that much!)
