February 28th

Whoa, I'm up this late? What is this? I am super duper tired! I just got to my dad's house (from my mom's house, not my apartment) and I am already cozy in bed and just about ready to fall asleep. Perfume of the day is Chanel's Chance Eau Tendre, which is, in my humble opinion, one of the most over-hyped perfumes ever. It smells just like Marc Jacob's Daisy, though slightly less synthetic, but almost identical. (Daisy had some major hype back when it first came out too.) It's a nice floral scent, I'll give it that, but it's not...groundbreaking. Especially considering the fact that it's Chanel and that it carries a hefty pricetag! I haven't found the other Chance I've tried (Eau Fraiche) to be anything special ether. It smelled quite generic on me as well. Eau well! ;)

February 27th

Hi friends! I hope you've all had a nice week! I got some good sleep in last night, and then woke up at a weird time and couldn't sleep for awhile, and then fell back asleep. I at least got out of bed a somewhat normal time today. I didn't really have anything to do today though, so it's been pretty chill around here. Tomorrow I'm going down to visit my dad and see the new place he's moving into! That ought to be pretty exciting.

I technically have two perfumes of the day today, both from rollerballs which was a coincidence.

Firstly was Paradise by Nest, which I recently got in a swap. It start off absolutely amazing, like a blood orange had been squeezed onto my wrist. It was super juicy and realistic and really great. The longer I had it on, though, the weirder it started to smell. It was like the orange was going bad. Perhaps from the cedar notes? I don't know. I fell asleep wearing that though, and when I woke up and smelled my wrist I was legitimately repulsed. It was like rotten oranges. Luckily that came off easily and I'll be offering that one up in a swap sometime soon. Obviously my skin chemistry did not agree with that. Woodsy notes and I don't always get along.

Secondly, the one I just put on is one you all probably know. If you don't know it by name, I'm sure you've at least smelled it before. That would be Flowerbomb by Viktor&Rolf. The famous floral patchouli scent that I aways accidentally put on a little too much of. It sure gets cloying if you over-apply. I actually couldn't wear sweet patchouli scents for a good month after overdoing it on Flowerbomb once. Too sickly! But Flowerbomb has a special place in my heart, as it's the scent that my high school piano teacher wore. She was something like 50 or 60 years old and wearing this new, young chic perfume (though I didn't know anything about the perfume at the time, just what it was called) and it suited her so well. I think she was the first person I ever asked "What perfume are you wearing?" It was just so different and I loved it so much. And of course since she was my piano teacher I was sat next to the scent during lessons and I adored it. I still do, and it's quite nostalgic for me. I got the rollerball from my mom for Christmas 2013 and I've barely used any it seems - you can only apply the littlest amount, and of course I have a fair few other perfumes that I wear. Anyway, that's what I'm wearing now! Good memories.

Paradise by Nest - Citrus, fruity, woody.
Notes: Blood orange, cedar, ginger, aquatic accords.

Flowerbomb by Viktor&Rolf - Floral, green, sweet.
Notes: Orchid, patchouli, tea, musk.

February 26th

Sleepy Kate got new pants and renewed her lease today! And now for my next act, sleep! No perfume today, sorry guys! Tomorrow!

February 25th

This little lady has got herself a new job! And not retail! I'm excited to see how it goes. And since I had an interview today, no perfume! I am currently quite worn out as I got up exceptionally early and couldn't fall back asleep, so I'm going to nap now, or possibly sleep for the night. We'll see!

February 24th

Howdy y'all! I'm at about halfway with regards to rectifying my sleep schedule. I really do think my medication is part of the problem though. I know I got enough sleep last night and yet I was tired today. Maybe it's because all the work I needed to get done could be done from home, but still. I feel like I'm too tired. I think I'm going to start a sleep journal to record what hours I'm sleeping and how I feel when I wake up, and also when I feel tired.

February 23rd

Happy birthday to my darling Brad! I unfortunately didn't get to see him this weekend like we'd planned, but hopefully I can see him soon! I have birthday and Valentine's things to give him!

I received my end of my most recent perfume swap today (just a little one again!) so I'm wearing one of my new scents today! I did a mostly-sample swap (and one rollerball) and now I'm wearing the tiniest but most expensive sample I got. I also got a Nest rollerball and a few other little samples, and I'm excited!

Perfume of the Day: Five O'Clock Au Gingembre by Serge Lutens (unisex)
Spicy, warm, woody. Notes include ginger, cinnamon, tea, honey, and amber.
I own: 1ml decant

This one smells just about exactly how I expected it to, which is actually nice. I like when I can look at the notes, think up how it might smell, and then test it and have it smell just how I imagined. Sometimes surprises are nice too, but not if they're bad surprises. I wanted to try this one because it's a well-liked niche brand and a type of smell I don't tend to go for, that being a more gourmand smell. Cinnamon and I only get along sometimes, and I don't really like smelling like a sticky cinnamon bun from the bakery. So I figured this, which is meant to smell like gingerbread cookies and tea, might take down the gourmand factor a bit but still smell cozy and a bit foodie, but not too much. And it does! It's dry, spicy, and really does smell like gingerbread and tea. It's very pleasant! I don't really see myself going for a whole bottle since Serge Lutens is very expensive and I'm not in love with the scent, but I do really like it and appreciate it.

February 22nd

Hi friends! It is so freakin'-frakkin' cold up in here. It's -11, but feels like-30. Which is a little better than earlier, when it felt like -35, but still. Too chilly! So I didn't leave the house today. No thanks frostbite, I'll pass on your offer.

I'm having a better day than yesterday, so you all get a normal blog post today! Get hyped! And by normal I just mean this crap plus a perfume review, so feel free to get...not hyped.

Perfume of the Day: Stella by Tocca
Citrus/floral/sweet. Notes include blood orange, bitter orange, freesia, daffodil, orchid, and musk.
I own: 5ml decant

I just received my decant of this last week and it's both what I expected and a bit of a surprise. The initial blast is, as expected, the ripe juiciness of oranges. If you hold your wrist up to your nose and sniff, you'll get that smell the whole time you're wearing it. But as it dries down, if you catch a whiff of it from a slight distance, it's almost a dead ringer for Britney Spear's Curious. I thought it smelled slightly familiar when I first applied it, and then checked the reviews on Fragrantica and noticed someone had made that comparison, and there sure were right! Curious was one of the first perfumes I ever owned, and it's a very nostalgic scent for me. I wore it my freshman year of high school, and recently I've been considering buying a small bottle just for the memories. (Plus it's really inexpensive.) (I've been considering doing that with all of my high school perfumes, actually. I want to get my hands back on them. Scent is such an interesting memory trigger!) So this perfume has a Curious accord to it, despite not sharing any of the same notes. I'm not sure why that is, but once the strong blood orange juiciness fades, all I could think of was how similar it was to Curious. So that was the surprise, alongside the predicted juicy orange-ness! If you like orange scents and like(d) Curious, or want a slightly classier smelling version of it, this is your scent. I'd love to try the rest of the Tocca "girls" at some point, and this was a good start!

February 21st

Not having the best day today. I just want to sleep right now. I'll post something less short tomorrow, and do a belated perfume of the day. Sorry for the short entry, this weekend has just been stressful.

February 20th

A printer that works sure would come in handy. I have a pretty nice printer, but it constantly jams. I have no idea why. It's very frustrating. And I need to print something. I also need to go get quarters, and a new mirror because the cheap one in my bedroom started losing its backing and thus falling off the wall. So...I'm gonna get another cheap one, because this one was $10 and lasted me a few years. Plus I need to go to Walmart anyway.

I sort of tested a perfume today but I didn't go out while wearing it (it faded before I went out to get groceries) and it was just a small sample of a scent I wasn't really into. I'd never tried it before, and I figured I'd give it a go, but it was just meh. It's from the 90's, and it smelled...super 90's. It's called Ocean Dream by Giorgio Beverly Hills and has water lily, musk and heliotrope in it. Basically a standard musky aquatic scents, and again, super 90's. Lots of the reviewers commented about how they wore it when they were young, and the thing about the 90's is that a lot of the on-trend scents of the time are still too new to have that classic, vintage scent about them (compared to, say, Chanel Coco of the 80's), and instead they just smell dated and out of style. So I wasn't really feeling it, although it wasn't offensive. Not really my style though. No nostalgic value to it since I was too young in the 90's to be wearing perfume, so it just smells...old? Not like, granny-old, but dated. And check out that box!

So old school. Anyway, I'm probably going to rejoin Mike's stream tonight as my weekend plans keep changing, so I'm basically free tonight. I'm going to try to not stay up all night again. Mike was helping me with some computer issues last night until like...3:00 - the issues didn't even get sorted out entirely - and then I was up for a bit after that. I'm going to attempt an earlier night tonight!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

February 19th

Well, I beat HuniePop. Now I just want to unlock all the achievements and 100% the game. Because I am that dedicated to this game. Or just crazy. Probably both.

Perfume of the Day: London by Burberry
White floral, citrus. Notes include: Jasmine, honeysuckle, mandarin orange, rose, tiare flower, peony, and musk.
I own: 100ml bottle, and a very small amount left in my 50ml bottle.

This is one of my favorite perfumes of all time, and as most people with a favorite perfume can tell you, the ones you love the most are often the hardest to describe. I think this is because the perfume tends to be emotionally evocative as well as an olfactory pleasure. For me, this smell is one of the ultimates in comfort. It's soft, warm, and rich, but in the way that white florals are as opposed to gourmands - sweet, but also fresh and clean. The initial spray opens with the mandarin orange notes and the citrus combined with the delicate but enveloping blanket of an entire array of white florals make it instantly both invigorating yet calming. I find this scent to be one of the most classy modern scents available. I've owned a number of Burberry scents throughout my life - one of the first "real" perfumes ever given to me as a gift was Burberry's Weekend - and I've found that nearly all of them are great. They don't all suit me, of course - that would be asking a lot, to have an entire house of perfumery that all happens to work well on my skin, especially considering how varied their scents are. But this particular scent is one that upon first sniff I went, oh, that's far too sophisticated for me...and then couldn't get it out of my mind. After actually wearing it instead of just smelling it from the bottle (seriously, never just smell from the bottle, always test on yourself), I fell in love, and have loved it ever since. It's a truly beautiful scent, and one that I never want to be without!

February 18th

Sometimes your friend gives you a game on Steam and you stay up all night playing it. Whoops.

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the tea I ordered al let three weeks ago. It got sent to New Jersey somehow but the company says they're sending it back in my direction, so hopefully it'll be here this week! As well and maybe my newest perfume swap, but that'd probably be Friday at the earliest.

And today, I am surprisingly not wearing perfume! I'm taking a day off! So this will be a short entry. (Or perhaps quite refreshing for those of you who don't like the daily perfume reviews.)

Stay warm and safe on the roads, the weather is crazy this week!

February 17th

Cas is officially a renewed citizen of my city! I my refrigerator has been renewed with foodstuffs! I tried to take a nap and slept super soundly for four hours but had a whole slew of bad, weird dreams. I don't know why I've had more bad than good dreams lately. I've heard reports about the medications I take giving people more vivid dreams, so maybe that's part of it?

I may have not noticed that there was a hole in the bottom of my garbage bag that I was taking out today and thus spilled leftover berry smoothie all over my light grey snow boots. Now it looks like they're covered in blood. And they smell funny. I've got to see about getting them cleaned.

Perfume of the Day: Alien Sunessence Édition Limitée 2011 Or d'Ambre by Thierry Mugler
White floral/fruity/amber. Notes include jasmine, kiwi, amber, orchid, and vanilla.
I own: 5ml decant

This is one of the best Alien flankers for winter. Like the Cuir edition, it's quite deep and warm. I don't get the kiwi note unfortunately, but I definitely get the amber/jasmine combo. It's a bit of a heavy scent, and smells similar to but not as strong as the original Alien. Like the other Mugler scents, the bottle is gorgeous. The scent is unique from non-Mugler scents, but not too different from the other Alien flankers, at least on my skin. It's quite nice though, although not my favorite of the line. (Aqua Chic and Sunessence Eau de Toilette Légère are my favorites at the moment.)

I received my end of a swap today so I've got a few new scents to try! I decided to try some Katy Perry scents despite not usually being a fan of celebrity scents. (Speaking of that, I recently tested Sarah Jessica Parker's Lovely and didn't like it at all. It wasn't synthetic or generic like a lot of celeb scents - which is why I don't like them - it was just unpleasant on me.) But apparently Katy Perry has some good ones, so I figured I'd ask for some decants of Purr and Meow. I also got a decant of Tocca's Stella and Le Couvent des Minimes' Cologne of Love. I'm excited to try them!

February 16th

Talking to a sleepy person as they're falling asleep sure makes me sleepy. I'm about ready to fall asleep myself. Of course, if I do that I know I'll wake up at like 1 or 2 and be wide awake, so I don't know what to do about that.

Tomorrow I have to go renew Cas as a member of the city! Even though I got him late in the year, they charge you at the beginning of the year, so I feel like I just paid for his...citizenship, as it were, and now I have to go do it again! Luckily it's not terribly expensive.

Perfume of the Day: Chanel's Les Exclusifs de Chanel Coromandel
Balsamic, warm, sweet. Notes of patchouli, benzoin, white chocolate, incense, and vanilla.
I own: 3ml decant

I have a strange relationship with this perfume. I like it, but if I apply too much, I really don't like it. It has all the notes to be the perfect storm of a cloying, sickly-sweet gourmand patchouli bomb, and if applied with a heavy hand, it is definitely cloying at first. The incense is what saves it from being something I'd immediately scrub off for being too sweet and heavy. Oddly enough though, despite my general dislike for perfumes like this, something about this makes it okay to the point where the drydown is actually quite comfortingly warm and pleasant. I made the mistake of putting on too much today (because I spilled my decant on my arm, whoops) and I found myself asking how I could have ever thought I liked this stuff. The patchouli was swallowing me up and it smelled far too sickly-sweet and syrupy. However, once the unique white chocolate note and the incense came out to play, I remembered why I like it. It's really well blended, and while at first sniff it does seem like just another too-sweet too-heavy balsamic gourmand concoction, there are fleeting moments of really unique smells that make it really interesting, and the drydown, as I said, it quite enjoyable. This perfume is quite a pricy one and given my complicated relationship with it, I wouldn't invest in a full bottle, but it's the sort of scent I'd like to always have a little decant of, just so I can revisit its uniqueness from time to time.

February 15th

I think I might bust out my copy of Super Mario 64 tonight if I can't sleep. Last night I went to bed early, like at 10 or 11 something. And of course I woke up at 2 AM and...couldn't get back to sleep. I was ravenously hungry and wide awake. So I did some art, faffed around on the interwebs, and cuddled my kitty. I also looked on Craigslist for a decent desk for my living room and I can't find one, which is a shame. I really want a desk in there so I don't have to be on the computer from my bed. I'd get a desk in here, which I was originally considering, but having my computer in a different room from where I sleep would probably be super beneficial. Just having a desk at all would be beneficial, really. Using my bed as my "desk" just makes me more tired. I need to disassociate my bedroom from my computer area. Then hopefully I'll be more productive! (Thank you Brad for this tip, it was desperately needed!)

I also for my living room. There is nowhere to sit in my apartment aside from the kitchen table and my bed. I had a futon briefly when I moved in, but Cas peed on it. Probably because it smelled like the animals of its past four owners. (That futon had made its rounds through my friend group, it was great.)

I hope you all had a restful weekend and that you have an excellent week, too! Stay warm and safe on the roads if you're in the colder parts of the country!

Perfume of the Day: L'eau de Toilette by Carven
Floral/fresh/citrus. Notes include sweet pea, peony, lemon, freesia, hyacinth, wisteria, sandalwood, and musk.
I own: 1ml sample vial

First off, this has got one gorgeous bottle. However, it's only slightly unique in the floral category, but it is all around very safe. It's definitely inoffensive, and quite a pleasant, fresh-floral perfume. But it's nothing to write home about in my opinion. It does have one great quality, which is that its very ageless, in that someone of literally any age could wear this and it would suit them. This could just as easily be a work scent as a wedding scent and it's very versatile, but its that sense that it's so generic that it could be worn all the time - coupled with it being quite subtle and mostly linear - that makes me feel less inclined to love it. It's a really beautiful scent, don't get me wrong! It just lacks uniqueness, which is something I personally like in a perfume, but I also appreciate other people want something subtle that can be worn day-to-day and work for all occasions.

February 14th

Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you all had a nice day today, whether you're in a relationship or not. Remember, self-love is important! So either way, treat yourself.

Brad got a small selection of his gifts today, i.e. a card that got opened and investigated my the post office because it was suspicious, and a video game called Shovel Knight (which is amazing). Apparently sending a tiny bag of coffee beans in a tiny plastic baggy is suspicious when the beans get crushed and there's a little plastic bag filled with powder in an envelope. Whoops. Happy Legumentines Day anyway!

Perfume of the Day: No. 5 Eau Premiere by Chanel
Aldehydic, floral, woody. Notes include ylang-ylang, aldehydes, neroli, vanilla and sandalwood.
I own: 100ml bottle.

I never thought I'd love a Chanel No. 5 scent, but this modern reinterpretation of the iconic original is absolutely wonderful. It smells classy and the aldehydes sparkle, and the sophistication of the original No. 5 remains without being stuffy or overbearing. This scent is much lighter and brighter than its classic counterpart, but you can tell this one is a descendant of No. 5. I never would have thought to try this if a kind swap partner hadn't included a sample along with the bottle she sent me, and I couldn't be more grateful that I tried this. (This is why I love trying things that I feel unsure about...sometimes they turn out to be absolute gems!) Thank you to everyone who got me Sephora gift cards for Christmas so I could get my hands on a big bottle of this beauty! It's so stunning and I smile every time I see it in my collection.

February 13th

I did things such as buying cat food and mailing packages today! Otherwise though, it was a pretty chill day. Even Cas has been super chill today.

In exciting news, Brad is going to be here in ONE WEEK! I am so super excited to see him.

Perfume of the Day: Alien Aqua Chic by Thierry Mugler
Fresh/citrus/aquatic/floral. Notes include ginger, freesia, lemon verbena, and amber.
I own: 60ml bottle.

This was my first ever Thierry Mugler perfume and I love it endlessly. I was nervous to try a Mugler perfume since the (in)famous Angel has such a polarizing opinion surrounding it, and it's strong as hell. It's basically what started gourmand perfumes. The original Alien was also known for its massive sillage and longevity, though I preferred it to Angel. When I was offered Alien Aqua Chic is a swap, I decided to go for it despite never having smelled it before. I knew Alien was something I liked in moderation and this was supposedly a lighter, more aquatic version. Well, I fell in love with it and have been pursuing Alien and its flankers ever since. I actually swapped away my first bottle of this for something I wanted more and missed it so much that the next time I saw someone offering it in a swap, I sent them a bunch of things just so I could get my hands back on this beauty. And yes, the bottle is as pretty is it looks in the picture! The smell of this is definitely zestier and fresher than the original Alien and lacks a lot of the warmth of the amber, but you can tell it's a relative, despite sharing only one of the original notes. (How does Mugler do that, huh?) If you're curious about Mugler scents, try a flanker of Alien (there are quite a few and many are fantastic), as it's not quite as intense as Angel, but still noticeable and different. Don't let the Mugler name scare you! The scents are very different and often VERY strong, but there are some true gems in there.

February 12th

Take a look at my latest Influenster haul! (Note: As usual, these items are sent to me for free for testing purposes. I'm not paid for my opinions.)

I'll be reviewing these en masse once I've tried all of the products, so keep an eye out for that! If you'd like to try out Influenster yourself, let me know and I can send you a referral link!

Perfume of the Day: Donna Karan DKNY Delicious Night
Fruity/smoky/balsamic. Notes include blackberries, incense, ginger, patchouli, amber, and myrrh.
I own: 2ml decant.
Mini review: This is one of the better dark, smoky berry scents I've tried, surprisingly. The patchouli/fruit combo doesn't turn cloying like it does in so many other scents, but it's still deep and warm, with a bit of the headiness lifted thanks to the incense and ginger.

February 11th

I did this fun thing yesterday where I went to bed too early and then woke up at like...11:00 PM maybe and I couldn't get back to sleep. Brad's gotten me back into Tumblr, so I hung out there for awhile after I was in call with Mike on his stream for a bit. Then today I did...not much. Because I think I finally fell asleep at like 7:00 AM. Going to bed too early should not do that to me. Come on Kate, be diurnal! And go to the post office tomorrow, girl!

I've been liking this perfume of the day thing. It's getting me to wear different scents every day, which is good. I really need to work through my samples that I haven't tested yet instead of my decants and bottles that I know I like, but oh well. I wore a decant of something I like today anyway. DEAL WITH IT.

Perfume of the Day: Alien Les Parfums de Cuir by Thierry Mugler
White floral/resinous/leathery. Notes include jasmine, amber, dried fruit and leather.
I own: 2ml decant

Mini Review:
Rating: 7.5/10 - I like this scent a lot, but there are other versions of Alien that I like better. The leather adds a new depth to the original and makes it a bit dryer and less cloying, but it's quite similar to Alien Sunessence Édition Limitée 2011 Or d'Ambre and I prefer the latter. (I like all of the Alien flankers that I've tried, though!) The bottle of Les Parfums de Cuir is gorgeous though!

February 10th

I need to stop pouring more milk than I need. I have this habit of thinking I'm going to need more milk with my meal than I ever do, and I always have extra. So, Project Pour Less Milk is in effect right now, because I feel silly when I finish my dinner and I still have a mostly full glass of milk. I drink milk all the time, but clearly I've let that go to my head because I keep over-pouring!

I shipped out my half of a perfume swap today! Just a little baby one with a mini rollerball and some samples/decants, but I'm excited nonetheless. I love trying new scents, and I told my swap partner to send me a surprise decant since she offered to send me four and I could only think of three that I really wanted. Surprise decants/samples are the best, I've found, because they get you to try something you normally wouldn't. I've found some amazing scents because someone just decided to throw a sample or decant in with a swap, and it's always been something I never would have gone for if I'd seen the notes beforehand.

Last bit of news for today: I received my latest Influenster VoxBox! I'll be posting pictures tomorrow, and a review of all the products will follow! I'm so excited to have another box, I haven't gotten one in awhile!

Perfume of the day: Chanel Coco Eau de Parfum
Balsamic/warm/spicy. Notes include cloves, amber, rose, sandalwood, tonka bean, opoponax, and civet.
I own: 2ml decant.

February 9th

Hello my friends! I hope you had an easy Monday. I had a pretty slow start to the day after not being able to sleep well at all last night, but I did get up and get things done. I also wore the Ferragamo boots that my mom was going to get rid of but ended up giving to me because they actually fit if I wear moderately thick socks with them, so I felt like a bit of a badass today. That was a terrible sentence and I apologize. Basically, forever ago my mom bought these really nice ($400ish dollars) black Salvatore Ferragamo riding boots, but they were always a bit small for her so she never wore them. Last time I was at her house she told me she wanted to get rid of them and I immediately told her I'd love to have them if they fit me, and alas, they fit surprisingly well for being a size and a half too big. With socks, they fit nearly perfectly. So I have some sweet boots now, which is extra amazing because I've wanted nice riding boots for a long time now, and now I have some! Yay!

Perfume of the day: Elie Saab Le Parfum Eau de Toilette
White floral/sweet. Notes include mandarin blossom, orange blossom, honey, and gardenia.
I own: 30ml bottle

February 8th

Happy Sunday! I'm streaming again! After 7+ hours of streaming yesterday! I have a life on the weekends, I promise. I did actually get things done today! I got groceries, and filled prescriptions, and got something for Brad...haha. Also, Brad is doing much better today! Yay! Tomorrow I'm expecting a fair bit of mail, and also I have a fair bit of stuff to do as well! So no staying up all night. Probably.

Perfume of the day: A Lab on Fire Liquidnight (Unisex)
Woody/citrus/aromatic. Notes include lime, hinoki wood, incense and vanilla.
I own: 1ml sample

I think I might doing perfumes of the day, if anyone is interested! Or just because I want to.

February 7th

Hi friends! Please send some well wishes to Brad, who is under the weather right now!

Mike has been streaming for like seven hours now. I've been there for most of it. What a productive Saturday! Tomorrow should be more productive though. I need to make some art! ...And clean a bit.

My mail didn't come today. Come on, mail! Come at me!

February 6th

Hello fellow humans! I didn't have the most productive day, but I did do a duet of Take Me to Church with Cas and it was adorable. I wish there was a video of it.

Tomorrow I've got stuff to do! Like going to the bank! And working on Brad's presents! How do I wrap things? I can't wrap a freaking rectangular box.

Do you guys have Google Wallet? It's like a better version of PayPal. You should check it out.

February 5th

I was a busy bee today! My dad had shoulder surgery a week ago, so today I went down and helped him out a bit and took him to his follow-up doctor's appointment. I was up at 8:00 AM! Who how and what? And after all the driving my dad around and helping him with stuff, I had to drive back up to my place of course (gotta feed the kitty!), so there was MORE driving and I was damn tired when I got home, which was like 6:00. So I ate dinner and napped until...10:45. And now I'm going to stream with Mike! Such a long day! But a good one. Plus I smell of new perfume! And that's one of the best feelings ever. I am a nice-smelling woman who can conquer the world!

February 4th

Whoa girl, don't forget how late it is. It's blogging time!

I got my Christmas present form my mom today! It's a little 30ml of the Elie Saab Eau de Toilette perfume. It smells so nice! I love it. :)

Now I'm watching Mike stream because I'm at my dad's and can't be noisy. Oh well! Tomorrow night may involve streaming!

February 3rd

Today was a strange day indeed. Mixed feelings. Much like February 3rd of last year. I've been trying so hard not to compare last February to this one, but it's a funny coincidence that this happened. Having a blog sure makes me notice things like that. And of course to top it off, my phone charger stopped working so I had to get a new one. Those things are expensive, it's ridiculous.

2015 is a new year. I am a different person today than I was this time last year. And every hurt is a lesson, and every lesson makes you better.

February 2nd

I have had a very sleepy day. I went back up to the slightly higher dose of the Buspar because the other day I was having those awful fidgety feelings that preceded all that crap last fall, and I wasn't about to deal with any more of that. Hopefully I'll find the right balance of meds to make me feel awake, but not fidgety and anxious, just alert and ready to go! And besides, for all I know the tiredness may be due to other things, like my inconsistent sleep schedule or the time of year. I'm not sure! I'll bring it up with my doctor next time I see her though.

I work a little shift tomorrow, so that'll be good! Hopefully I'll get paid as well. Then I can buy things such as food! I bought milk today, because yesterday I was an idiot and left half a gallon of milk sitting on the kitchen table all day and didn't notice. I'm just glad Cas didn't notice either! But being out of milk is no fun, so I got two gallons just to be sure. I go through milk like crazy anyway, so they'll be gone soon enough. I'm so glad milk at Aldi is a dollar cheaper than everywhere else, and that Aldi is only a two minute drive from my apartment. I could walk...but it's cold, and carrying two gallons of milk home in the cold doesn't sound fun.

I hope you're all having a good week so far!

February 1st

I'm having a bit of an off day. Just in one of those moods. February moods.

Tomorrow is a new day. With cats and hugs and happiness.
