I have to write a paper tonight. I haven't started yet. I haven't even started the reading I need to do to write the paper. This weekend has totally drained me. Too much work. Too much social chaos. I want to sleep more. And watch Grey's Anatomy. And catch up on my YouTube Watch Later playlist.

September 29th

So, I didn't have the best weekend, did I? Lots of drama. Now I'm just sleepy after lots of working and I can't even say awake enough to watch Grey's Anatomy. Also, I think I saw a spoiler on Tumblr and I am sad and mad. So...still not my best weekend. But tomorrow is a new day, so let's hope for happy fun times. I'll buy an iced pumpkin chai. That should help. It usually does.

Perfect. I had a shitty day and I got caught up in it being shitty and I didn't blog. I fucked up because of drama about a boy. I am an idiot.

September 26th

Ohhh goodness, Grey's Anatomy is punching me right in the emotions tonight. The season finale episode opened up and I immediately knew what the premise was going to be and it was so heart-wrenching. And of course there were things I didn't expect, which is always a plus. My favorite kind of episode is the kind that makes me shout "Oh shit, what?!" According to my sister, season nine is going to be a tough one emotionally, but now I'm just starting season seven. I don't want the characters I love to die.

Well, I don't have work tomorrow and I may not have any plans at all, barring a potential movie night that I don't think is going to happen. So...Netflix all night long, baby.

September 25th

Current mood: Exceptionally happy to have stumbled back into watching Grey's Anatomy and also very, very attracted to Kevin McKidd. I am 100% ready to watch Maid of Honor so I can see him in a kilt.

In other news, my body is so not ready for next week. I can't do classes and as much work as I'm scheduled for. (Hello, ending preposition.) I gotta talk to my supervisor because oh my god I am going to be exhausted and how can I do a movie night with Sarah and Aaron if I can't stay awake?

September 24th

I love my SSA friends so dearly. They are the best group of people.

I'm seeing Josh Groban in less that a month! I am ecstatic. October, I am ready for you. I even thought of a Halloween costume!

September 23rd

I might actually do something for Halloween this year. Also, I want to dye my hair. Or just part of it. I'm not picky, I just get bored with my hair very easily. Leave suggestions in the comments maybe if you love me? For hair dyeing and for costumes. :)

September 22nd

I shopped at Walmart and ate at McDonalds today. I feel like a gross American.

My YouTube Watch Later playlist got full (which is not a thing I knew could happen) so I am attempting to watch ALL THE VIDEOS. It is time consuming but enjoyable.

September 21st

Mulan is my favorite movie. I watched it again and it's just flawless (sans Shang's grammatical mishap). It's just so pretty and inspiring and good gracious it's the best.

I'm heading out with Mike and Sarah (and others?) now! Oh, college.

September 20th

I am all caught up on Face Off! I really do love that show. Aside from the concept, I just really appreciate that the contestants are so friendly and supportive of one another. If you need a new show to watch, Face Off is something I would highly recommend.

I'm home alone tonight so I'm going to hang out with Chaos. I love kitties.

September 19th

Today we had a kitty visitor. We got to cat-sit for a lovely boy named Squid, with whom I promptly fell in love. He is a big talker and he took a liking to me and hung out on my bed most of the day. He is my favorite friend right now and I love him. I miss him terribly.

Happy two years, self. Way to kick some ass.

September 18th - Colgate Slimsoft review

I'm not very adventurous when it comes to toothbrushes. If they clean my teeth and get off tooth sweaters (you know, the fuzzies on your teeth in the morning), I'm pretty much good. When I was notified that I'd been selected to try a new toothbrush, I was actually pretty excited because I thought hey, maybe this will blow my mind.

Influenster sent me the new Colgate Slimsoft toothbrush, along with some Colgate toothpaste and mouthwash. According to Colgate, the bristles on this brush are 17x thinner, which apparently is a good thing. I don't usually go for soft brushes, because I feel like they aren't cleaning my teeth aggressively enough. But these are apparently some magic, super deep-cleaning bristles.

So I tried out this magical soft toothbrush yesterday and today. It's not bad. It definitely feels softer than my normal toothbrush, and it's much easier to brush my gums without it hurting. But I feel like I couldn't scrub as thoroughly as I would like. The toothpaste was just their generic whitening one, and it was nice but not extraordinary. The mouthwash was pretty good since it didn't burn my mouth very much.

Basically, if you have sensitive gums or like soft toothbrushes, you will like this brush. It's gentle, and even though it doesn't feel exceptionally deep-cleaning, you can tell that it's doing it's job. I probably won't purchase one after I'm done with this one, but I of course am very thankful to Influenster for letting me try it out!

September 15th

I have now officially seen The Hobbit and I REALLY ENJOYED IT. When is the next one coming out? Because not only will it be awesome, it will have Benedict Cumberbatch as Smaug and I can't even.

So today was complicated and weird and my emotions are going 800 different directions right now. And now I have to drive home in the middle of the night which is scary because drunk drivers and deer and such. I'm gonna go so slowly and I'm not gonna get home til 1:00 AM and I don't even care because safety first!

I'm going to the Mall of America tomorrow. :3 I'm excited.

September 14th

Last night was fun, but it made today a little rough. I took a nap after training, but I'm tired again. Tired and sad and not in the mood to do much of anything. My mom and sister did come up to visit though, which was really sweet! I got to have some delicious french toast at Perkins. But now I think I'm ready to sleep for a bit because I'm mopey.

I'm going to a little get together with some friends tonight though, so at least I get to chill with cool people. And my mom and sister are coming up to visit tomorrow! Hooray!

When your professor won't stop talking about the Great Wall of China, the best solution is to summon Shan Yu.

Mind you, this is not a history class. One sentence on how the Great Wall served as a means of communications because they lit fires across it as signals would suffice. But no, my crazy professor is the emperor of rambling.

Hello lads and lasses! I have a new charger! In fact, I found out the charger had arrived this evening...and drove home to get it. I'm just now getting back. And yes, it's nearly midnight. Here's hoping the new charger works well! Also, here's hoping the mint-flavored chunky Kit Kat that I am about to consume is as delicious as it looks.

September 8th

Wow this not having a charger thing is getting pretty old. Currently waiting for my roommate to finish with hers and let me use it. Here's hoping she doesn't fall asleep before giving it to me.

Also, if you want to purchase the best pants in the whole world, look no further. I discovered these the other day while shopping for business casual stuff to wear at work and oh my god, they are the nicest looking, most comfortable pants ever. Buy them now.

September 7th

Well, my charger didn't come. But I got a job. So...I guess that evens things out, right? I also got a dresser finally! It is awesome and big and I don't have enough stuff to out in it. I also don't have enough stuff to decorate my room. But now that I have a job, I can have money to buy decor. My walls are too naked! And my shelves. And the top of my dresser. I need tchotchkes.

Still no charger. I did acquire a wall charger for my phone though, hallelujah. I promise I'll post a school update when I have my new laptop charger!

September 4th

My laptop is dead and my phone is about to die. Cue panic mode. I am blogging quickly and succinctly now just in case my roommate doesn't get her charger to me before midnight. I did order a new charger, it's just in shipping limbo. Hurry hurry hurry, little charger.

I'm at a party and there are cats. I am useless right now. 

September 2nd

My laptop charger broke. It came apart. And now I have to buy a new one.
Luckily one of my roommates is letting me borrow hers tonight, but now I've got to shell out way too much to get a new one. And I'm probably going to end up paying even more for fast shipping. Yaaaaay.

I did get to Skype with Lexa tonight though! I like that girl. Also we send each other stuff.
