Horrible news. I decided to take my laptop into the Apple Store because the backlight kept going out when the screen was tilted at certain angles. It wasn't a huge deal, just a bit annoying, but I figured I'd see what they could do. Well, my laptop is still at the Apple Store, and it'll be there for 3-5 days while it undergoes major invasive surgery. With a 10% success rate. I may need a whole new laptop...and I would have been fine dealing with the stupid screen but nooo, the guy was like ordering parts and asking me if I'd backed up my data (which I did recently, whew- though I hope they don't fuck up my computer because I literally as I am typing this I realized I didn't back it up after I made my new travel itinerary with ALL my London details and directions FUCK FUCK FUCK I can not lose that document. Oh Apple Store, please do me this solid and don't ruin my computer. Now I'm even more stressed about not having my computer. This is Harry Potter's birthday. This is supposed to be a happy day. I have all the anxiety! This is not good! Oh universe, please be in my favor in this first week of August. There is a lot I need from the universe this week. Fingers crossed!

I made progress in my travel itinerary, thank goodness! I can't believe it's almost August. Also, it kinda hit me today that I won't be working regularly very soon! At least not where I'm working now- I'm going to try and get a job while I'm at school, obviously. And I'll still come back to my current job when I can, because hey, it's kinda awesome there.

I am now the very happy owner of this gorgeous perfume:

This beauty is Féerie by Van Cleef and Arpels, and it is fantastic. It's a really unique scent...it's a crisp, woody berry. Very earthy, vaguely minty, and I can definitely see its relation to fairies.

I also bought some boots. God, they are fantastic. Pictures to follow!

I am stressing myself out so much with all this planning. I feel like I have a million things to do before my trip, and that includes things that don't even have to do with my trip, like school. I feel like time is just flying away and I've still got a lot of stuff to accomplish before school starts back up. Anxiety!

Stuck on BuzzFeed. Doing laundry. Had awesome Hang Outs with Eoin and Lexa. Bought an umbrella. Overall, not a bad day.

July 26th

I do my best not to talk about work on this blog because I don't want it to bite me in the ass someday, but let's just say today was not a good day. Long story short: one of my coworkers made a mistake that she didn't acknowledge until much later, which ended with me having to stay late. However, one of my managers was totally awesome and helped me fix said coworker's mistake, and I didn't have to stay as late as I was originally going to have to stay. Awesome managers make up for stupid coworkers.

After work I decided I probably ought to use my $10 off coupon that Victoria's Secret sent for my birthday. I was originally just going to buy something pretty cheap, like for $12, and then it'd only cost me $2. However, a total miracle happened instead. Backstory: At least three months ago, I was in VS with a different coupon, and I had no clue what I was going to buy. I tried on a gorgeous black lacy bra as well as some yoga pants with a sweet cosmic waistband, and I loved them both, but ended up getting the yoga pants in the end. The next day I decided I really didn't need the yoga pants, and that the bra was more practical. I went back to the store, and the bra was gone. Every bra in that style, every color, gone. I asked a sales associate about it, and she said she didn't know which bra it was. I told her where it was located before, and even the name of the bra, and she was clueless. So I left. I asked one of my coworkers about it, because she worked at VS too...she didn't know what the bra was. I kept checking back, but the bra never showed up.  ...Until today. The bra was there, with the same name, in the same colors. And they had my size. And they were having a deal where you got a pair of matching panties for free if you bought the bra. So I bought the bra, and I am so ecstatic. I literally had thought about this bra so often since I didn't purchase it the first time around, and now I get to own it! I ended up paying $20 for the bra plus the panties, which is amazing. So in the end...not a bad day, despite work being less than spectacular.

I started making my detailed trip itinerary! It mostly consists of my shopping day on Oxford Street at the moment.

July 24th

Good evening, my loves! I have a lot of planning to do. I remember reading that once you've been doing a task for 15 minutes, it's really easy to keep going...so I just need to plan for 15 minutes and get really into it, and then I can do it in one fell swoop. This is how cleaning always goes for me. I do it for a bit, get really into it, and then clean for like two or three hours straight.

I haven't worked since Sunday. Days off are nice, but I'm trying to save some money for my trip...which is hard when you're not making any money.

I've gone a bit crazy buying perfume again. It comes in surges. I don't buy any for months, and then I'm like I WANT ALL NEW PERFUME. So I bought two new perfumes (on eBay, reduced price of course!) and I'm doing a swap for some more. Fun fact: I've never paid more than $35 for a perfume, and I have four or five perfumes that retail for $80-$150. I must reiterate: eBay is your friend, dear readers. I have never been ripped off in purchasing perfumes via eBay, and eBay is generally viewed by perfume collectors as a reliable and cheap place to buy. I'm no collector, but I do like my perfumes and also having money.

Some current perfume suggestions, if you're looking for something new:

Lolita Lempicka by Lolita Lempicka - dry, warm, licorice scent. spicy and dark, with a delicious vanilla drydown.

Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs - quintessential floral perfume. not too green or earthy, and very fresh.

The Beat by Burberry - nautical and a bit salty. notes of tea and some bitter fruits. very sharp and fresh.

Omnia Coral by Bvlgari - a tropical fruity punch that isn't cloying or overbearing. summery and bright.

Hello friends! I am looking at cosplays from Comic Con and I am so envious of the craftsmanship that goes into so many of these costumes! I want to cosplay someday. Really, really badly. I just need to acquire some artistic skill first.

Here's a problem: only 10 of the ~375 pictures of me on Facebook are from after I graduated high school. What the hell is up with that? It's really annoying to only see 3+ year old pictures of me on there. Also it makes me feel like I have no friends, because no one is taking pictures that involve me. Sad day.

Oh, and since I'm going to Europe alone, I doubt there will be any pictures of me from that trip at all- maybe a few if I can recruit some strangers, or from when I see Eoin. It'll be like I was never even in London! :( Sort of like how I have like three pictures of myself from my last trip to NYC.

Hello lovelies! I am doing a serious room clean at the moment, and it is exhausting. I'm so sweaty! I have a really bad habit of not doing laundry unless I have to, instead of just doing it once a week or something, so sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming, and then I put it off because it's intimidating, and then even more laundry piles up...anyway. I keep finding weird shit in my room, too. Like, stuff where I look at it and think, "Wait, why did I keep this?" Cleaning is such an adventure!

I also discovered that my asshole dog ate the crotch out of another pair of my underwear. They were pretty new and I'd only worn them once, but they were one of the pairs I got at Gilly for $3, so the loss isn't too painful. I'm just glad they weren't any of my favorites, or a really fancy pair! Thanks for going for the cotton ones, Darcy.

I wonder how many pairs of underwear the average American female owns.

I AM SO TIRED HHGGGBLGHH

I'm going to fall asleep now and then wake up at 4:00 AM and be upset about being awake. My bladder likes to wake me up mid-dream, which is usually not ideal.

I need to try some other Mike's Hard flavors. This is a goal.

Also I think something has like gone awry with our mail because I ordered some stuff which still hasn't come, and my driver's license hasn't come yet and it's like a week late. I just want my makeup brushes, and to be able to stop carrying around my stupid yellow piece of paper that says even though my license is clipped, I'm still legit.

I am so bad at discerning alcohol flavors. Literally it all just tastes the same. Like, flavored vodka? All the same flavor. Wine? All the same. Except for one really good wine I tried at Olive Garden once. And Sangria just tastes like wine. I need to try more drinks. Someone get me a piña colada ASAP.

Happy Google Hang Out Day! Also, my neighbors seem to think it's the 4th, as they keep setting off firecrackers. I had a lovely time chatting with Eoin earlier, and I'm hanging out with Lexa in about five minutes!

I get paid time and a half tomorrow, and then I don't work again until Monday. And Friday is payday. I am mildly ecstatic.

July 2nd

Work was surprisingly fun today. I love when I get to do things that make time pass super quickly, and I love doing those things with nice coworkers.

I can't tell if I want to just fall asleep now or not. I probably will. I've got to be alert for my two Hang Out dates tomorrow!
