I'm going to eat pasta with SSA now! It's our Pastafarian Dinner and also we're going to watch Pirates of the Caribbean. I am listening to my Pirates playlist now in preparation. We also find out the result of elections tonight and every time I remember that, my tummy does a little squiggle. I have never run for anything before but I ran for communications/PR chair and I am so damn nervous. Of course it's fine if I don't win because I know I'll still be able to help the organization out in other ways but it would still be really nice to win.

I also have to do a lot of packing tonight. My dad is coming up tomorrow morning to bring about 3/4 of my belongings home so that we don't have so much to do on move out day...except I'm really not in the mood to pack. Oh well.

I don't really have the focus or energy to write decent things, so you'll probably just get me talking about how much I loathe studying. I'm going to bed early tonight. I tried that last night and ended up having super weird dreams, so I guess we'll see how it goes.

April 23rd

I'm so stressed. I want to curl up into a little ball and not have to deal with school. I have too much to do and it's freaking me out. I hate the end of the semester. It's like everything is happening at once.

April 22nd

I just did laundry and already it seems half of my clothes are covered in rabbit fur. A lot of rabbit fur.

So it's the week before finals and I kind of want to crawl into a hole and try to avoid the stress because my god do I have a lot of work to do.

My phone won't be fixed until at least May 4th. Life without a phone, in this society anyway, is so bizarre. I'm so dependent on my phone to wake me, to tell me the time as I'm walking to class, to communicate with my family and friends...and without it, I feel disconnected. Of course I still have my computer so I don't feel completely shut off from the world, but the ease of communicating quickly has been taken from me and it's hard to adapt. Every day it gets a bit easier, but planning things and hearing about things is much harder. Well...only two more weeks of this.

April 21st

It was barely drizzling when I walked to Sarah's this morning, so I figured I'd be okay to walk back later. Nope, it was still raining at 6:00 PM. And I had no umbrella or rain boots. But that's okay, because I got lots of bunny snuggles. Also kitty snuggles. Calvin is the most affectionate cat I think I've ever met except maybe one that I met at the humane society once. But Calvin is so pretty and so sweet and I just want to be his best friend. And Forrest was a lot more chilled out today. We both took a nap when the rain got especially bad.

I love bunny-sitting! And since I've only got one thing to which I actually have to go, I'm gonna spend lots of time with my fluffy friend. Guys, rabbits are so soft and nice.

April 19th

You know what's satisfying? Totally and completely schooling someone in a debate. Tonight was our SSA's Ask an Atheist panel, of which I was a part, and it was super fun. There was a particular audience member who was an ardent Christian and who asked a lot of good questions, but one question was poorly executed and he tried to make and argument and I shut him down. Note: Do not argue for something about which you are not familiar. You will get your ass handed to you.

I'm rabbit-sitting this weekend! I'll try and take some pictures to put on here. You'll all love Forrest. He's white and pretty and perfect.

I have an alarm clock now! No working phone, but an actual alarm clock thanks to Mike. I can wake up in the morning! Hooray!

April 18th

Day three without a phone. It needs to be taken to the Apple store, except there's no Apple store around here. And I don't have a car, nor do I think I have access to anyone's car. People need those things, you know...they don't want to lend me their car. So basically everything is super crappy because my communication is so limited and I can't plan anything and also not having an alarm clock is miserable.

So now I'm listening to Jekyll and Hyde and thinking about how I really need to do some laundry.

April 17th

My phone isn't working at all. I went to get it looked at, and they didn't know what to do. I got a new SIM card and everything, and it's just not working. This is sort of miserable. It's hard to plan things when you can't communicate easily. I also have to go to bed super early because I have no alarm clock now, so I need to wake up of my own accord.

I did get to go grocery shopping though, so today wasn't totally useless.

April 16th

My phone isn't working. I can't even turn it on. If I try, it just tells me that activation failed because the servers are busy. It's been doing that for 12 hours now. Of all the days for my phone to stop working, it picked one where I needed it. Oh, and it's not even charging anymore. And my computer doesn't recognize it. Awesome, right? I'm just going to let it run out of battery, then try to resurrect it and hope that helps.

Today I would like to present you with love advice from one of my favorite movies, Love Actually:

"Invite him out for a drink and then after about twenty minutes casually drop into the conversation the fact that you'd like to marry him and have lots of sex and babies."

This, my friends, is how to get a man.

Wouldn't it be nice if romance was this straightforward? Instead of pussyfooting around, you just go up to the person you like and say "Hey, I like you, do you reciprocate?" And then if they do, awesome, and if they don't you move on. There would be no waiting around and build up to see if someone liked you back, so the letdown would be less because really, you'd only have known them for a short time and the rejection wouldn't be so devastating - not like if you'd been trying hard to win someone over for ages and then finally finding out they just weren't into you.

This is the sort of thing I think about when I don't want to do homework.

I love going through my iTunes and finding songs I listened to in high school. I love it more when I still remember the words. I've been listening to this playlist of songs I listened to when I would do college applications (yup, I had a playlist for that) and it's so strange how well I remember these songs even though it's been like four years since I last heard them. And hey, because I'm so kind, here's one of the songs:

I watched Holy Musical B@man yesterday, which was pretty good. Starkid shows are kind of hit-or-miss for me, and they often start off strong and then fade out. I think it was in my 2010 blog that I wrote a review of AVPS...I don't think I'll do a review of this one though.It was good, but nothing extraordinary. There are, however, hot guys in tights, so if you're into that...you should watch it.

April 13th

Happy Friday the 13th! I am spending it away from my beautiful black cat Sammy, but I can only hope she's giving my mother a spot of bad luck on this day. Assuming I can get a ride, tonight I'll be celebrating the lovely Sarah Maddox's birthday with her, so I'm looking forward to that. Then this weekend it's time for homework, hooray!

I'm actually quite glad I'm not going home again this weekend. I love my family of course, but I'm so unproductive at home. This weekend has to be massively productive for me and it's freaking me out. But I can do it! Yeah! Homework and essays and stuff! And registering for classes! And...more homework!

I've got a stressful week coming up. I've got lots of homework, and I register for fall classes as well. I'm also really tired right now since I haven't been sleeping well lately. Luckily there's always Game of Thrones for those sleepless nights.

So I think I'm going to skip The Amazing Race tonight and just try and get some sleep. Lame, I know. But I need my sleep!

I'm remodeling my kingdom in CastleVille. Yup, when I got home for the weekend, this is what I do on Saturday nights. My aunt and uncle are at their hotel until tomorrow morning, so I've really got nothing else to to...and boy, do I love remodeling.

I'm going to watch more Game of Thrones once I'm done on Facebook. I know I'm not going to have time to read the books until summer, so I might as well rewatch the show!

Three months until my birthday, hey!
I'm at home again this weekend. I'd like this a lot more if I didn't have spontaneous allergies...I have a runny nose and super dry and yet somehow also watery eyes. I'm also really, really tired. So I'm hitting the hay early tonight so I can be a normal citizen tomorrow since my aunt and uncle are here. Good night!

April 5th

Remember how that one time on here I was talking about how much I love watching videos of surprise marriage proposals? Well guess what I saw tonight. A real life actual live marriage proposal. AND it was at the drag show, after an amazing song. And it was just so perfect and I was so emotional and I don't even know the girls! I think I might have done a little squeal though. I love drag shows. I love proposals. I love this song, the one good song that has ever come out of Glee:

April 4th

Blogger unveiled its new look today! This is great for me, because it's actually the same Blogger I've been seeing for ages now. My dashboard randomly switched over many months ago (I assume I was somehow selected as a beta tester, maybe because I blog so often) so I've had a long time to get used to it! I really love it though, and I think it's massively better than the old one.

Tonight I'm going to Sarah's to...get this...watch Star Wars for the first time. I've never actually seen any of the movies in their entirety, just bits and clips over the years. So we're watching Episode 4, I think. I sure it lives up to the hype. Maybe I'll become a super geeky Star Wars fan!

April 3rd

Why did all of my teachers decide this was the week for all of the essays and tests? I've been listening to the Jekyll and Hyde soundtrack to take my mind off of the stress...which, if you think about it, is sort of counterintuitive because that's a pretty stressful musical.

I took a break from working today to watch the new Game of Thrones episode. Guys, you should all watch that show. It's a bit overwhelming because there are like ten million different characters, half of which have confusing names, but it's a really wonderful show. I'm working on reading the first book as well, although it's about 800 pages and I don't have a lot of free time, so I'm not progressing very quickly.

April 2nd

Tonight I got to meet a police dog! He was so pretty nice and and I'm in love. College makes me feel so animal deprived, so any animal is pretty much amazing. Also I might get to hang out with Sarah's rabbit Forrest on Wednesday, so that's sweet. Rabbits are so badass, guys.

April 1st

There's not really anything too clever I can do for April Fool's, is there? You know I'm not quitting the blog, and I'm not pregnant or from Narnia or anything. So tonight I'm just going to watch the Game of Thrones season premiere and go to bed early. I have to get up early and get used to styling my new haircut. And for those of you who haven't seen it, here's what my hair looks like these days:
