November 30th

We've reached the end of November, friends! I miss Ireland. I can't believe it's been a year since I've been there. I need to travel more. I'm going to Maryland in February!

I have snuggly new blankets and pillows. :3

November 29th

I am happily at home and in bed! I'm so excited to go to sleep at a normal time! I figure I'll probably wake up in the middle of the night, but dammit, I'm just glad I don't have to work until 7:00 tomorrow morning. 

I have so much Christmas shopping to do this week! Thank goodness it's almost payday!

November 28th

Night three! Whee! It's the home stretch! I paid an obscene amount of money for a Naked Juice at Caribou on the way here because those have been keeping me sane the last few nights and I had one fewer than I thought I did. Time for dinner and this pricy smoothie! Tonight looks like it should be pretty low-key, so that's what I'm hoping for.

I could go for a shower and some oatmeal right now though.

November 27th

I'm back at work! It's really trippy working twice in one day, technically. Since I left at 7:00 this morning and arrived back at 11:00 tonight...and was of course working midnight through 7:00 this morning...I've already worked nearly eight hours "today"! I'm really not too keen on this whole three audits in a row business. Two nights in a row is hard enough. I'm already tired! But I shall power through! Perseverance! Yeah! Woo!

November 26th

Hi friends! I'm blogging from work! Because I have audit tonight...and the next two nights as well! Three nights in a row! Ahhhh!

It's obviously super slow tonight though, so I'm currently eating a sandwich and waiting for midnight so I can do all of the end-of-day stuff.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I am so grateful for everyone who has ever read this blog, because it makes me happy to know I'm not (always) just shouting into the void. Thanks for putting up with me, guys. I love you all!

Wow, this cold is not nice. Work was absolutely miserable today. So many sniffles and so much coughing and my god my nose is red. Cas is trying very hard to be a part of this blog entry. He's basically on the keyboard.

November 23rd

I have a sudden and very unpleasant cold! My body is so sore and my nose is so stuffy and drippy. Waaah. It would be so awesome if I didn't have to get up super early tomorrow and work. Sigh!

November 22nd

I finally got caught up in Two Dots! Hallelujah! The Undertale OST helps. Also spending a dollar to get five more moves. /shame

Early morning tomorrow! Then chores and such. Post office and grocery store and all that jazz. This is why I could never have a vlog channel on YouTube.

November 21st

Work was a little crazy tonight. Drunk people! Hey! Also my coworker was talking about soft shelled turtles and accidentally called them soft shelled tacos and it made my night like a hundred times better. Then I got to come home and talk to Brad which always makes my night the best!

Special birthday wishes to someone very near and dear to my heart, miss Lucahjin. Without her I wouldn't know Brad, and without her, I would be missing countless happy hours of my life spent watching her LPs, chatting with her, watching movies with her, and learning about so many new things that have brought so much joy to my life. Happy birthday dear, and thank you for everything.

November 20th

Hello friends! I have recently gotten really into a perfume that I swapped away quite some time ago now and recently repurchased. That happens from time to time...I swap something away that wasn't necessarily a "dislike" or even a "neutral" but rather a "like but not a love" and then end up regretting it, and then repurchasing it. The first one that happened with was Versace Crystal Noir, which I now own again and love. The second, which I've been wearing most days at work recently, is Elle L'Aime from Lolita Lempicka. I'm not sure why this scent is so captivating to me right now. It's definitely a more summery scent, but then again, I always end up wearing perfumes during the wrong "season" for them.

So I ended up buying this from a lovely lady all the way in Hawaii because she was selling the set that came with the limited edition bracelet that matches the bottle. I have a lot of trouble with bracelets since my wrists are so small, but this is an adjustable cuff one and it's gorgeous. But, the scent of this stuff. As you guys may recall, I don't usually get on with lime scents so well. Burberry Brit is a notorious example. I've tried to love the EDT and EDP of that and just haven't. But this one is lovely on me! It's mainly coconut, lime, jasmine, vanilla, and ylang-ylang, with some bergamot and a hint of myrrh thrown in for good measure. It's a very dry lime, not sickly or juicy. It wears very well in this weather, and it's refreshing while still being cozy. I'm happy to have it again!

November 19th

Do you ever go to the car dealership to get your tires rotated and you end up being there for four hours? Because it sucks. Especially when your phone is dead and the book you brought isn't catching your interest. 

I didn't sleep well at all last night, so I'm pretty damn tired. At least I learned a tiny bit more of the Undertale OST on piano. Like, two more measures. But still. That's progress. 

November 18th

Even when I think I'm incapable of my horrible night turning even a little bit positive, Brad surprises me. He really is the best. I love him so damn much.

Perfume of the Day: Coco Eau de Parfum by Chanel

I'm on a bit of a Chanel kick lately. This scent wasn't my absolute favorite when I first tried it, but I re-tested it today and really loved it! It rides a fine line between smelling "dated" and classic, but its elegance is undeniable. It mainly features cloves, amber, and rose, which isn't a combination I'd normally gravitate towards. I'm not a huge fan of rose of cloves unless they're very well blended, and in this case, they are. It's one of those scents where the notes blend together to create their own unique scent as opposed to one of those perfumes where you can clearly pick out each note. Those can be great, of course, especially if there are particular notes you really enjoy. But there's also something quite special about a combination of notes that makes an entirely new scent. This perfume seems to be a real winner for this weather, and I'm super happy that I tried it out again!

November 16th

I had such a sleepy day today! It was rainy and I was tired, can you blame me? I did at least get to the post office, though. I need to go to Target tomorrow!

Scent of the Day: Chanel No 5 EDT

This is a lighter version of the Chanel No 5 that most people know, but it still packs a punch. It has that classic vibe, unlike the newer Eau Premiere version that I love so much. I received this in a swap today and I'm really enjoying it! It's got pretty good lasting power for an EDT, and it's like a happy medium between the original EDP and the Eau Premiere. Main note is, of course, aldehydes, along with ylang-ylang, jasmine, civet, iris, and musk.

November 15th

Hooray! I did it! I conquered the scary busy work week! Now I have some time off to relax and I'm so grateful! I don't even know what I'm going to do with myself. (Other than like, chores and getting my car checked and such.) I may read a book! Or two!

Sorry for the lack of long entries and perfume reviews and all that good stuff lately. I've been extra tired after work and so busy, I feel like I haven't been able to put proper effort into this blog. I will do my best to get that back on track!

Eeeeep, my legs hurt. I'm so ready for the next two days to be over! This is such a crazy weekend and I just wanna...sit. And lay down. Aaaand sleep.

My internet is being really wonky today. YouTube is buffering like crazy. And I just wanna stay up all night and watch Game Grumps, you know?

My Scentbird order should be here soon! I'm also signed up for Boxycharm and Lola now. We'll see how those two fare. I'm sure I'll keep the Lola subscription, we'll have to see about Boxycharm! Boxycharm is kinda pricy, haha.

I'm going over to Sarah's house to meet her new bunny! I'm so excited! I love bunnies! And I miss Forrest, and I haven't seen a bunny in so long! Plus her housemates have awesome animals too. Like a lizard! I hope I can meet him too!

November 9th

I did so much cleaning today! I'm so proud of myself! But now I am extra sleepy and ready for bed. I got some decor at TJ Maxx and I can't find my Command Strips so I can't hang up my sweet new art.

Thanks Brad for helping me fix my ridiculous phone. You are the best ever. (Obviously.)

November 8th

Man oh man, work was a doozy today. I'm so tired, but I need to clean tonight! We have an ~apartment inspection~ tomorrow and I have so much cleaning to do! Also, I'm not sure what time my landlord is coming but I totally forgot that I need to vacuum and it's definitely a little late for that, so I guess I'll wake up early and do that? Tomorrow is my day off before a six day long work stint that's going to be super busy, so I really want to sleep in, but I guess that's not gonna happen. Oh well! I'm just glad to have a day off.

November 7th

Got my new (used) car today. Stressful day. I'm stressed. And I work at 7:00 tomorrow morning. Here's hoping work goes well. 

November 6th

Another sleepy night! Hopefully sleep will come easier tonight. I couldn't fall asleep last night, and my neck/shoulders/head hurt. I also have a strangely large bite (spider, I think) on my back and it looks kinda gnarly. And it itches.

Tomorrow I believe I shall be getting a new car! Then I've gotta come home and do some cleaning.

November 5th

Back to work tomorrow! And then Saturday I get a new car, most likely. That's still pretty weird to think about.

Cas is being extra cute tonight. He's so cuddly and chilled out and I just love him so much.

I should get to sleep here pretty soon, but I'm not all that tired. I don't work til noon anyway so I'm not too worried, but I don't want to totally mess up my sleep schedule either.

November 4th

Well, I said goodbye to my car today. My very first car! I'm very grateful that car stopped me from getting seriously injured in my accident, but I'm sad to see it go, too. Chances are I'll be getting the same car again, just a year or two newer.

Cas and I are hanging out tonight like best buddies. He's so chill. We're gonna watch a genocide playthrough of Undertale now. And I'm going to eat dessert, though I don't know what I want yet.

November 3rd

Still sleepy! I got out and about today though, which was good. Tomorrow I have to clean out my car so they can bring it to the car graveyard, which actually gives me serious anxiety because all I can think about is that scene from The Brave Little Toaster and that terrifies me. Those cars didn't want to die. D:

Tomorrow: Sending gifts to friends! Buying stationery! Cleaning car! Visiting cats, maybe!

November 2nd

Sorry for the short entry last night! Sarah drove me home after work and we were hanging out a bit. Cas had a good time, too!
