Perfume of the Day: Dahlia Noir from Givenchy

Unlike most of the reviews of this scent, I actually do get a bit of a "noir" vibe from this one. My skin plays up the sandalwood a bunch, as well as the patchouli and tonka bean. It's very creamy, sensual, and warm. There's some powdery undertones, and a bit of floral wisps here and there, but for me, this is not the powdery floral that so many others get. I had my mother try this, and it smells entirely different on her. I must say though, the way it smells on me is so delightfully rich yet still somehow airy, it's very unique. It's almost like the softer sister of Versace's Crystal Noir.

Notes: Rose, pink pepper, iris, sandalwood, vanilla, patchouli, tonka bean, mimosa, mandarin orange
