April 29th

I have so much to do tomorrow! I need to get to bed early tonight. I might play a little bit of Ruby first though...I got myself all scared for the Elite Four and now I just want to have everyone over-leveled by like 20 levels before I take them on. I still have two gym leaders left before that, though. I'm worried about Tate and Liza.

So Game of Thrones...is the show even following the books anymore? What is even going on?

My poor sleep schedule. :(
I still need to watch The Amazing Race and Game of Thrones! I think I'm going to take a quick nap first though. I also might end up playing more Pokémon Ruby, since I'm about to head to Mt. Pyre and I'm quite fond of that place. (I caught a shiny there when I was much younger.)
I also want to hang out with Chaos. She's my best friend.

April 27th

18 days until I move! My room needs a serious deep-cleaning before then. Bring out the vacuum cleaner and the duster and the Windex. I'm so excited to move! I can't believe I'm going to have a whole place to myself. I am forever grateful that my dad is helping out with rent. And I'm hopefully going to have a second job soon, and then I can have my kitty cat and my fancy new apartment and all that jazz!

I just called Chaos' name and she actually came. Cats are the coolest.

April 26th

I did nothing but sleep today. My body was a very weary one. So now I'm going to play Pokémon Ruby, read A Game of Thrones, and sleep some more. Not sure what I'll be up to tomorrow. Here's hoping gas is cheaper though.

April 25th

I'm making my way though the Nuzlocke Challenge in Pokémon Ruby! It's so much more emotional and stressful than normal, and I'm already a very emotional and stressed out girl. I got really lucky and encountered one of my favorite Pokémon as the first on its route, so I'm now training a very pretty little Swablu. I've really got two main players on my team right now, my starter (currently a level 31 Marshstomp) and a Linoone (level 30) that was the first Pokémon I caught in the game. After I've trained my Swablu up a bit, I'm going to work on the Machop I caught. I named him Savage after Macho Man Randy Savage. My next gym battle is going to be Flannery, so I'm not terribly worried because Marshstomp should sweep her team. After that, though...I don't know. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Grass-type Pokémon at some point, since I don't have one yet. I'd also love a Fire-type to use on my rival.

April 24th

If they don't use my call-in at work tomorrow, I'm going to go look at cats I think. Should I go to Buffalo or Brainerd? There are cats in both places that I'm interested in looking at. There's also a cat from Castle Rock...which I did not know was a town in Minnesota and definitely misread it as "Casterly Rock." Game of Thrones is consuming my life! I hope this week's episode is better than last week's. And I hope The Amazing Race is good! Ahh stress!

April 23rd

I seem to have messed up my sleep schedule. Driving through 11 counties in a day apparently is not good for my sleeping habits. I'm not inherently against long car trips, but I'm a very tense driver at night and in places I don't know, so yesterday was hard on my body since a lot of the trip was in the dark on a road with no center divider and the possibility of deer. (I actually saw some deer and after that, every time I saw anything on the side of the road...mailboxes, slightly taller weeds, you name it...I tensed up.)  and no central divider means cars are coming at you at 60+ mph and they're maybe a foot or two away from you. Driving out in the country and not on a highway is awful. I saw a pheasant though, and a really gorgeous lake at sunset, so there were two cool things on the road. Mostly just anxiety mixed with boredom though.

I may adopt Oatmeal.
There are a few other cats I want to look at, but goddamn I love Oatmeal.

Hello friends! My dad bought me a really cool blazer today. I tried to find it online so I could show y'all a picture of what it looks like, but it's not on the website. I also found some really cute sneakers at Macy's...which aren't online either. Yay! If I'm feeling ambitious I may take some pictures tomorrow, but...ehh.

April 20th

I got my mom caught up on Game of Thrones tonight! Which means I've now watched the first two episodes in the season three times each. And I've gotten chills during the final scene of the Purple Wedding each time. My mom said she preferred the Red Wedding though, which I think is fair enough- it's more plot twist-y in my opinion. She also has a who-dunnit theory which is...wrong, but I like hearing her thoughts on it.

The Amazing Race was amazing too! That show has amazing production value, even the soundtrack is incredible. I hope Jet and Cord win, but my second choice is Leo and Jamal. Fingers crossed! My favorite people are in the finale for Face Off this week too, so I'm all excited.

Hello kiddos! I'm slowly but surely learning a slight amount of Italian! (And Lexa is helping!)

I'm currently very chilly and thirsty so I'm going to practice my Italian and then go to bed.

I think  just got the hiccups. Maybe not. AHH why did I hiccup four times just now?

Hello! My roommate's sister, brother-in-law, and nephew just arrived. I didn't know they were coming. I also didn't know her nephew (who is maybe four years old) would try and come into the bathroom while I was in there. What a strange Friday night.

I'm going to talk with Lexa now! We haven't talked in ages! And not since Game of Thrones premiered! We are behind in our social lives!

Say what you will about shopping at consignment stores, but I got a pair of black Vera Wang dress pants at Goodwill today and they were $5.

Tomorrow is the Ask and Atheist panel for SSA, and I'm a panelist! Hooray! What does it say about me that I'm mostly concerned with what I'm going to wear?

I had Taco Bell for dinner tonight. This is the life.

Have you guys seen Hannibal? I'm like six episodes in, and it's pretty good. It's also kind of terrifying. Like, it's legitimately creepy. The cinematography is great though, and one of the lovely ladies in the show was actually in Seminar on Broadway, so I've seen her in person! I actually kind of almost ran into her on the street...before the show I was trying to find the stage door and she was headed into the theatre and we almost had a minor collision. Sorry, Hettienne!

I'm about 60% done with tonight's episode of Game of Thrones and I'm already emotional because I know what's about to go down. I have ALL THE FEELINGS.

A very happy birthday to my wonderful friend Sarah, who turns 25 today! I don't know where I would be without her and I'm happy every day because I know her. She is a wonderful human being!

Hello gorgeous humans! Tomorrow is Sarah's birthday and 'm super excited! Her present hasn't arrived in the mail yet though, which is stressful. I'm sorry darling, it really is coming!

Speaking of the mail, I own more new perfume! Hooray! I'm going to wear some tonight like a boss.

I accidentally bought a jacket and I'm in love with it.

I'm sore. My head hurts. I don't know why this is but it makes me sad.

I'm getting more perfume this week. Perfume swaps are great because shipping is extremely inexpensive and quick and easy and then hooray you get new perfume and someone else gets new perfume and you can try new things or get stuff you love without having to buy a whole new bottle.

I wish I could afford one of those kitty litter box houses. I may get one of those potted plants ones where it doesn't actually look like a litter box, but we'll see what the budget permits. I'm so excited about getting a cat!

My alarm just woke me up from a really instense dream. Like I was DEEPLY asleep. And I was dreaming about Game of Thrones! And sort of a crossover with Beauty and the Beast? I dunno, I was in the Eyrie and had just found. Lysa when I was awoken. 

I think I know where I'm going to live next! I'm so excited! And I can have a cat!

April 8th - BIG Influenster Uni VoxBox Review!

Hello ladies and gentlemen! As some of you know, I am a member of the Influenster Nation, which is a website that uses your interests and social media presence to send you products to try out. I recently received my latest batch of products to try in the Uni VoxBox, and today I'm bringing you guys a review of all of the products inside!

NYC New York Color Expert Last Lipstick (Color: "Forever Fuchsia"):
I'm picky about my lipsticks and so I wasn't terribly impressed with this one. I find that one of the least appealing things a lipstick can do is settle into the fine lines on your lips, and this lipstick did just that. I want my lipstick to be even across my lips, not patchy. There are some good drugstore lipsticks, but this one didn't do it for me. While the application was smooth, it immediately settled into the creases and looked cheap. While on the lips, it feels okay...slightly dry, but I've definitely felt worse. The smell is pretty typical of an inexpensive lipstick. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation (Color: "Light Porcelain"):
I was surprisingly delighted by this product right away. I've found that very often, even the lightest shade of foundation is too dark for my fair complexion, but this worked very well for me. I'm used to using a liquid foundation, and this foundation claims to be a "liquid mousse"- it's really just a mousse. Application was a little strange because of this, but using a makeup sponge I was able to get excellent medium-to-full coverage, and true to its name, it really is matte. I usually use a matte powder over my liquid foundation, but there is no need to with this product. (However, a powder on top helps it wear longer.) The texture of this is quite thick so be wary not to dispense too much product before applying. There is no noticeable scent and it is not difficult to remove this product with ordinary makeup wipes. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes a matte look.

Broadway Nails imPRESS Manicures:
I'm not a huge fan of press-on manicures, and this didn't really help matters. Just getting the sticky tape off of the back of the nails was a hurdle, and it got worse the more nails I applied- I constantly felt like the nails were going to pop off, and trying to peel stickers didn't help at all. The nails didn't stick for very long and I felt like the slightest tap in the wrong way would make them come off. Are they quicker than painting your nails? Absolutely. So if you want a brief manicure, they'd be okay. But honestly, I'd just recommend painting your nails.

Pilot Acroball Pure White:
This is a pretty standard pen, to be honest. Nothing to write home about. (Pun intended.) Fairly smooth, skips occasionally, and is overall average in just about every way. As for ergonomics, it's comfortable but not any more than the next pen. It clicks up and down easily, but that's nothing too spectacular. Overall, not a very memorable product.

Red Rose Real Tea Premium Water Enhancers (Flavor: Black tea):
This is a pretty convenient product. If you're familiar with Mio, it's the same concept but tea-flavored instead of fruit-flavored. You simply squirt a bit into your water and shake/stir, and your water has a new flavor. It's like the healthy, no-fuss way to get a tea flavor without actually making tea. The only downside to this, and this is just personal taste (pun intended, again), is that this is too sweet. I received the black tea flavor and was not expecting it to taste so sugary. If you're someone who typically adds sugar to your tea, though, then this is great for on-the-go tea flavoring without needing, you know, a kettle and tea bag. And since you only need a squirt per full bottle/glass of water, it seems like it'll last quite some time. I'd recommend trying this product- and if you don't like it, I don't think you'll have any problem finding a friend who would gladly take it off of your hands for you.

Playtex Sport Fresh Balance:
I was most excited about finding these in my VoxBox. Tampons are expensive and I received an entire box of them, not just a few to try. I've used Playtex Sport in the past and really enjoyed them, so I was extra excited to try these. Like other Playtex tampons, these have the smoothest application ever and you can't even tell you're wearing one. I had no trouble with leaking or discomfort. The only thing different about these to my standard Playtex Sport tampons is that they are lightly scented and have an "odor-blocking" technology. The smell is pretty inoffensive; clean, vaguely floral, and subtle. I would definitely recommend these, or any other Playtex Sport tampons. They're probably the most comfortable tampons I've ever tried, and like I said, I've never had problems with leaking or discomfort with Playtex Sport.

Seriously, I was pretty impressed. There were the standard unnecessary boobs 'n pubes, but most of it was excellent. And I love Arya and the Hound forever.

I think my body wanted t catch up on sleep today, because I went to bed at a reasonable hour and still slept in. And I'm still tired. I was also really nauseous earlier and almost got sick. Why, body, why? I just feel so out of sorts.
