I'm on the weird side of YouTube. I'm watching videos about rhinoplasty. I don't want a nose job (or any plastic surgery for that matter) but I find them pretty fascinating. Modern medicine is really fucking incredible. Wanna change your face? Cool, pay someone enough and you can look like an entirely different person. That's so trippy.

I'm thinking of seeing Noah. Have you guys seen it? I've heard good things.

March 30th

It's almost April! April is Oatmeal Visiting Month! It's also Find Out Where You'll Be Living In June Month! I hope, anyway. I really want to makeover my room for summer once I move (with all the money I don't have) so I can have a spring/summer bedroom and a fall/winter bedroom. Different decor, different blankets, that kind of thing. I watch a DIY room decor video on YouTube (not the sort of thing I'd usually watch) and ended up getting really inspired. Plus lookhuman.com has awesome shit, so if I ever acquire more money, I'm gonna buy me a blanket from there.

March 29th

Switching medications means Kate's sleep schedule has gone to shit. Hooray! Except not, because oh my god I hate not being able to sleep. It's worse when you know you have to wake up at a decent time the next day. I hope this wears off soon and it's just because my body isn't used to these meds, because this is pretty lame. I also haven't been sleeping as well when I actually do sleep- I keep waking up really sore and headache-y and my neck/shoulders hurt. The only other side effect I've noticed is that my appetite has been a little off, but that's already going away. Here's hoping I can sleep more and better soon!

March 28th

I am expecting three packages in the next week, all of which will contain perfume! I am on a swapping roll! It's so nice to find people who want what you want and offer well for it. I'll be getting two more Lolita Lempicka perfumes, a Guerlain, a mini Al-Rehab, and more. I also get to try Fancy Nights by Jessica Simpson, which is hailed as one of the few celebrity perfumes that doesn't smell cheap and tacky. Hooray!

Happy Thursday night, friends! I've organized another perfume swap! I'm gonna get some more Lolita Lempicka because that brand calls to my heart.

Tomorrow I have shit to do! Make me do my shit, friends! ...Also I want to buy more Oreos. This is not necessary but very much desired by me.

March 26th

I can't believe it's already Wednesday night. Where did this week go? Going home always screws up my schedule. In fact, I'm just about to go grocery shopping. Yes, it's after 10:00PM. Judge me. Walmart is open 24/7. I can buy milk at 3:00AM if I want. (And I have.)

I have recently been enjoying frozen blueberries, but I have not enjoyed how they stain your skin. I feel like that girl from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I am turning into a literal blueberry! Just call me Violet Beauregarde!

March 25th

Sad news: The animal shelter I was going to visit today has had to close down for a few weeks "because of a sick kitten," according to the email I got this morning. So I didn't get to go visit any kitties. On the plus side, I am beyond stoked because my latest Influenster VoxBox came in the mail and it has amazing products inside! I even got tampons! Free Playtex Sport tampons! I love Playtex Sport! So I'm pretty thrilled. Expect a review of all of the lovely products soon!

I'm gonna go visit kitties tomorrow! Goddammit I love kitties. I want to sleep in a bed full of cats. Also I want rabbits and guinea pigs and hedgehogs and a fox and a pig and some birds. That's reasonable, right?

...I'm so happy about animals.

I'm looking at more cats to adopt! And other small furries, just because. I love guinea pigs!

I'm at home with my family, and then I'm going to visit Oatmeal and Ole (cats) on Tuesday!

I am sleepy and I need to plug in my laptop.

March 22nd

I had a long day at work, so I'm eating blueberries and watching The Amazing Race. It's always sad when a team you think you like does or says something that just wildly changes your opinion of them. There's a couple on the season I'm watching who seem like pretty decent people - not people I'd hang out with, but nice enough - and then they go to the middle east and the guy makes a comment like "Well being an American, I just don't feel right here" and I was so bummed out that he was such a narrow-minded asshole. Then one member team who was wildly upset over another team lying to get ahead literally tried to cheat off of his work right after she called him out for lying. (This act of hypocrisy came right after she was talking about how she would never do anything deceitful to win the race because she's a good Christian and whatnot.) Go ahead, be a Christian, but practice what you preach. Don't call another team out for being shady if you're going to turn around and be shady yourself.

...I have a lot of feelings about this show.

I am a very sleepy girl today! I need to stop staying up all night watching The Amazing Race. I have work tomorrow so I can't stay up tonight, and I'm looking forward to some good rest. I've been having not so nice dreams recently, so I'm hoping that will change.

I'm going to visit some cats on Tuesday! I'm getting so excited about moving and owning a cat.

Happy 2.5 years to me! As Eoin said, that's a quarter of a decade! Holy shit, time!

I've spent MANY hours watching The Amazing Race in the past few days. They're in Scotland right now! They got to play bagpipes in Scotland. And they were in Germany before that! What a dream! Actually, the shit they did in Germany was weird. This wouldn't be my ideal season on TAR (even with the bagpipes), but it's a good one.

March 18th

I'm on my seventh episode of The Amazing Race today. I'm watching an old season that I didn't watch when it was airing, so I'm super excited. I don't know who wins, which is the best! I still have another season to watch after this (the one previous to the currently airing season), but I don't really like most of the teams so I'm finding it a little hard to care about the results- I love the show though, and I love seeing where they go and what the challenges are, so I'll watch it. And then maybe I'll rewatch some old seasons...I want to watch the whole damn show again. I had a dream about it last night. I'm ready to travel!

Sláinte is táinte, my lovely readers! Happy St. Patrick's Day! I'm going to watch The Amazing Race and eat some Doritos like an adult.

I want to go back to the local humane society and visit Goober Cat. Sarah and Megan and I went on Saturday to look at animals and this really sweet black cat fell in love with me. He had a goobery eye and he dripped on me (I don't actually know where the drip came from...it was like one drop of warm, clear liquid), but he was the most affectionate, sweet cat ever. He even tried to climb on my shoulders and sit there, and he was so snuggly. He was a black medium-hair and I named him Goober Cat and I love him.

March 16th

As I venture forwards into adulthood, I have a need for doctors. I have no regular GP, OB/GYN, anything. So I'm currently on the hunt for people in these fields (and more!), and it's difficult. The internet isn't as helpful as I'd like. How do you do this? Being a new patient feels weird. Scheduling appointments is weird. I just want to like everyone I see on the first try and go from there.

Tonight I am VERY ANGRY ABOUT SEXISM, especially with regards to unplanned pregnancy and how that carries negative connotations for the woman ("slut", "dumb", "went and got herself pregnant") which all either place blame on her exclusively or make her out to be less of a person, while there are no such negative connotations for men.

Anyway, I need to eat some mac 'n cheese and calm down, or I'm going to all misandry on someone.

I had lotsa fun at Sarah's tonight until my body revolted and I thought I was gonna puke. I don't like leaving parties early, how lame! I don't think I have any plans tomorrow either, because I am boring.

I'm at Sarah and Megan's house playing games! Game night is the best. Am I totally geriatric?

I am happily curled up in bed and ready to get some good sleep. I had wacky dreams last night about cat adoption and SourceFed. Do you fine folks watch SourceFed? I'm talking to Ross on Kik right now. I'm probably bothering him.

I'm in kind of a sad mood. I am also not pleased with my OCD or any of my other mental health problems.

...I almost wrote the date as December and I don't know why. It's actually been pretty warm today! I think it topped out at about 43°F. The snow is melting! Hooray!

Can I get a friend or just random volunteer to french braid my hair for me? All the time? I thoroughly enjoy how it looks. I feel so fancy and elegant!

I'm kinda cold right now though.

I need to watch the second half of Your Highness. 

Last night I dreamt about visiting an animal shelter to adopt a cat. I am seriously the most legit crazy cat lady in training ever. 

I'm venturing homeward tomorrow and Caroline and I are going to watch The Amazing Race together. Sisterly love!

It seems I dozed off after dinner...my alarm just went off and startled me quite a bit. I did not enjoy it. I did enjoy my mac n cheese though, so all is well.

Four months until my birthday!

Thursday are weird and fun. More weird than before, but as delightful as always despite the circumstances. Humans are strange creatures.

I should be getting some new perfume in the mail tomorrow! I hope! Fingers crossed!

My goodness gracious, I am sleepy. I woke up bright and early today and got a lot done, and now I'm crashing early. I also got to Skype with Eoin's brother Tom today! He's a cool guy. And he's super musically talented! That asshole.

I may have a date with the sauna tomorrow! I brought a bikini up to my apartment so I could relax in the warmth of the hot tub/sauna. Too bad my toenail is all messed up, because it makes me feel like hot tubbing might not be good for it. The sauna should be fine, I just don't want to submerge it.

I'm sleepy! I wanna watch TV!

My blog alarm just woke me up from a scary nightmare. I'm not even sure it made complete sense, but it was freaking me out. 

My sleep schedule is fucked up and I'm going to try and fix it tonight. Hopefully with fewer nightmares.

Hello friends! I kind of didn't watch the Oscars because I'm a bad person. And I didn't watch The Amazing Race either. But I did take a shower! So um...that's good, right? Can I watch the Oscars online somewhere? I at least want to watch Lupita's speech, since I heard it was really good.

I made some gifs! I'm trying to learn some ADVANCED TECHNIQUES. ...I'm not very good yet.
